Letter: City leaders making Cedar Rapids safer

So, the city of Cedar Rapids wants to change some one way streets to two way streets due to bad drivers. How can this be? For years the city has been bragging that the red light and speed cameras have made Cedar Rapids drivers better and safer.
Since the city believes that two way streets slow traffic down and make drivers safer, will the city do away with all one way streets? If they do, just think how safe it will be to drive in Cedar Rapids. Traffic accidents will be so few we will have more police officers patrolling our neighborhoods making the city even safer than it is now.
I never thought that by simply doing away with one way streets that it would make driving safer in Cedar Rapids.
I am glad that our city leaders have come up with this huge safety idea and encourage them to get rid of one way streets as soon as possible. Keep it up Cedar Rapids, you are making our city safer.
