Letter: Chuck Grassley is embarrassing Iowans

Sen. Chuck Grassley is damaging his legacy. He is failing me and other Iowa citizens with his rhetoric regarding the Supreme Court vacancy.
In fact, I think he is embarrassing Iowans with his twisting of the history of justice confirmations and his being unwilling to do the Senate's work.
He is the point man in the GOP campaign to 'take our country back.” The Republicans want the House and Senate, the presidency, and the Supreme Court. This is a power grab. Delusion can be created with the power of rationalization and Sen. Grassley has been able to justify using his authority to bypass the intent of our Founding Fathers and the basic principles of democracy.
The GOP is known for being the party of 'No!” Now it is the party of, 'I will not even listen to you!” When so many of the citizens believe they are the 'have nots,” they try to be heard with their votes.
Sen. Grassley needs to step back, think, listen and realize what is going on.
