Letter: Changing Iowa for the worse

Well, the Iowa House has just assured that my son and daughter will never move back to Iowa. With the restrictions on abortions (they both have two beautiful children, but who knows what the future may bring), with a stand your ground law and open carry; not only will they not move back, but they may never even chose to visit for fear something might happen to them or their families.
The Republicans are turning this state into a place for the most extreme attitudes and after 70 years of living in and loving Iowa, I am considering leaving it. I hope all of you who voted in a Republican majority in the House, Senate and governorship are happy; because you will now all have to live with what they are doing to the state we all loved.
