Letter: Change needed in U.S. Congress
Mark Huston
Oct. 16, 2016 1:00 am
America is caught up in the presidential race almost to the point of absurdity. Congress is the problem. Nothing will change until we rid the House of Representatives and Senate of these career politicians who are focused on taking care of themselves.
An example is Sen. Chuck Grassley. He was in the Iowa Legislature for 15 years, served in the House of Representatives for six years, and will soon complete 35 years in the U.S. Senate. This totals 56 years of we the taxpayer paying his way.
If you want real change, this is the place to start. Fresh ideas will bring real change. Go to the polls on Nov. 8 and send new people to Congress.
