Letter: Candidates will say anything to get elected

As the presidential campaign has progressed, I have carefully watched as candidates have changed their strategies to fit the situation.
The ones not good at it have dropped out. The others you might say have misled, misrepresented, deceived and denied. Sort of a say anything to get elected strategy.
The candidates have often quoted parts of the Constitution to show their patriotism and to make themselves knowledgeable to the voters.
I am no authority on the Constitution, but I would ask the candidates: Where in the Constitution does it say that the government (of which they are part of) has the right to borrow the people into ruination - $19 trillion and counting.
