Letter: Branstad’s proposal is shortsighted

Gov. Terry Branstad:
Schools are struggling with their annual budget shortfalls. Your proposal to share a portion of the school infrastructure sales tax for water quality is shortsighted.
Wouldn't it be prudent to use the proposed money for water quality to instead add that money to school districts' annual state school funding shortfalls?
Keep education money in education.
