Fact No. 1: In a close vote, the local-option sales tax was defeated. Fact No. 2: Our city still has problems and they need to be solved.
Where do we go from here? I am not sure, but we need to come together and discuss the issues in a civil manner or we will just keep digging a hole that will cost more dollars to fix in the future.
Dave Draheim wrote in his May 7 letter that Zach Johnson should stick to golf. I hope he does and that his game does improve because that means more dollars being donated to area charities through the Zach Johnson Foundation. I hope Draheim agrees with that thought and also thanks Johnson for his generosity over the years.
