The source of the following information is from an opinion column published in the New York Times on Oct. 4, 2017: 'Below are the top 10 career recipients of N.R.A. funding - through donations or spending to benefit the candidate - among both current House and Senate members, along with their statements about the Las Vegas massacre.”

Sen. Joni Ernst is No. 7 of the top 10 recipients of National Rifle Association funding in the U.S. Senate. Her comment: 'My prayers are with all of the victims in Las Vegas, and their loved ones affected by this senseless act of violence.” The amount of money she received up until October of last year: $3,124,273.

U.S. Rep. David Young was No. 3 of the top 10 recipients of NRA funding in the U.S. House of Representatives. His comment: 'My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families and friends of this horrific and evil tragedy in Las Vegas.” He received $707,662.
