Let all people celebrate their history

Can't we celebrate both Columbus and indigenous people? Was there no looting, violence, slavery or disease before the Europeans arrived?
I like the Norse claim as my paternal grandparents immigrated from Norway, but its wasted time to argue who was first. If it wasn't written down it maybe didn't happen. Why can't non-indigenous people celebrate their history? Get a life!
