Leaders playing games on taxpayers’ dime
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I would have felt better if an independent board of business people and not politicians recommended that it made fiscal sense for Garth Fagerbakke to take over supervision of the county's facilities.
Joel Miller, the Board of Supervisors and Fagerbakke have been playing King of the Hill on a playground named Linn County. They have engaged in name calling, biting, scratching and trash talking as they try to remain on top and knock the other participant down.
The problem is that we the taxpayers of the county are paying for their game and I, for one, am tired of it and hope they bury the hatchet and I don't mean in each other's back.
