Leaders need to address issues, not vacation
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Aug. 8, 2009 12:27 am
Most Americans can't afford a vacation this summer and are holding on financially by their finger nails. President Barack Obama and members of Congress should have had no vacation this summer. The president should have signed an emergency order keeping himself and Congress in session throughout August and September.
Americans deserve their full attention in first dealing with our deep economic recession.
Next agenda would be health care reform. Our people deserve the best health care services guaranteed to all Americans, especially for the children, elderly, disabled and pregnant women. This is a Christian nation based on Christian principles. The people with the most economic means take care the people of less financial means. Federal government health insurance guaranteed to all American people.
