Lawmakers live easy while the rest struggle

I thoroughly agree with Thomas Miller's Aug. 5 letter, “Public should decide lawmakers' benefits.” Congress has generous retirement and health benefits. This country cannot afford all the perks for our representatives while the rest of many citizens are struggling to maintain their status quo.
