Law denies equal protection for women

Wow, Toto, it seems we're in Kansas after all!
As a refugee from MOKA (Missouri and Kansas region), I prided myself on settling in a state renown for a rational body politic and legislators who care about the health and welfare of the citizens.
You can put paid to that reputation if the fetal heartbeat law is allowed to stand. Its restrictions amount to a denial of equal protection for women and it flies in the face of Supreme Court rulings on this matter.
And on a personal note, it is none of Family Leader's business what choices a woman makes about her body. Back in the days before Roe v. Wade, we pro-choice folk were fond of saying this: If men could have babies, abortion would be a sacrament. Believe it!
