Lack of coverage for musician disappointing

Last summer I called everyone I could think of in this area, the Jaycees, Freedom Festival, Marion by Moonlight, etc., to see if we could get a talented young man from Des Moines, Richie Lee, to come to our area and perform. In recent weeks, he has performed twice in Cedar Rapids, for the International Studebaker Club and Uptown Friday Nights. Richie is only 19 and has been singing from very early on. He's nationally known from Boston to Memphis and is going to perform for Nashville record producers this month. He performs every year at the Winter Dance Party in Clear Lake and has played with big music names.
We were disappointed to see he was not recognized (here) for the outstanding entertainer that he is. The media can find a lot of disturbed, troubled young people to talk about. Why not share a refreshing story about one who is a genuine hardworking, good kid who is dedicated in making people happy through his music?
