Kudos to Gazette Insight for differing perspectives

I applaud The Gazette for behaving as a responsible newspaper in Friday's Insight section. (May 12.) Side by side were two editorial opinions: Food crisis unfolds in Iowa (Gazette Editorial board) and Title 42 demise (Syndicated columnist).
The Gazette piece was factual and inclusive without pointing fingers or laying blame. Though they did strongly encourage Iowa's Governor to act as an advocate for Iowa families struggling with food insecurity. The Gazette chose facts and brought in experts in their piece. I felt informed with The Gazette’s editorial.
On the other side was a strictly partisan attack on our current president and his party regarding America’s immigration crisis. And it is a crisis. But according to the author of this piece "Democrats" are responsible for most all evils and anyone wanting to come to America has an easy legal path to do so. They don’t! He tied 70,000 fentanyl deaths to China, Mexico, and our president. He uses phrases like “a while back,” “something like” and our “seemingly awakened president.” All hyperbole comments used to inflame not inform. I found little (maybe nothing).
I agreed with in the syndicated column piece. But I do applaud The Gazette for offering different editorial perspectives for problem solving in America: Facts and experts, or hyperbole and finger pointing. We need news sources that offer both perspectives. Then, Americans must choose.
