Kudos for coverage of first responders

Brava to Fern Alling and her article of November 23, "A paradigm shift within emergency response." I am rightly proud of my county (Johnson) for having the foresight and initiative to provide the services described for its residents. Programs such as these benefit those in need and allow first responders more time to accomplish their tasks. There is no reason that these services aren't available in all counties. It's my hope that articles like this, with its depth and insight, will be more prevalent under The Gazette's new ownership.
