Kirkwood successful with community's support

Kirkwood is the community's college.
We say that a lot around here, because it's true. That theme has been a part of our mission since 1966 when this college was created: identify and meet community needs, with forward vision and innovative solutions. We are here for the Creative Corridor, to grow the region with an educated and viable workforce who will live here, shop here, raise their kids here and keep this area strong.
We wouldn't be what we are today without our community's support. Through the generous backing of donors in all our seven counties, we're able to offer $2.6 million every year in scholarships to our students. In a time of rising student debt and surging college costs that put higher education out of reach for some, this assistance is crucial.
By voting to continue our tax levies, every property owner is giving us his or her support to provide our students with top-notch industry standard facilities and equipment. Students graduate well-prepared with meaningful credentials. Employers know, too, and seek Kirkwood grads to fill their rosters.
I cannot say enough how much we truly appreciate what our community has given us. To know that you're putting your resources behind us and our mission strengthens our resolve to ensure our students get the education they (and this community) deserve.
