King’s ignorance harmful to party
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Has Rep. Steve King lost his mind? Or is he showing how hypocritical he is? The recent statement King uttered concerning Hispanic people is vile. I cannot believe this man is a representative from Iowa. His description of Hispanic people shows stupidity, ignorance and churlishness.
What he said was not an off-the-cuff statement or mistake. King planned out the spew vomiting from his mouth.
He has done nothing hat distinguishes his time in his office except gain national television time helping the Republican Party alienate Hispanic people from ever wanting to vote for his party. King in his overweening arrogance blinds himself from seeing the inevitability of minority equality in the 21st century. Stupid has consequences and King embodies all of those consequences.
