KGAN manager’s comments fall short

I read the pathetic apologia by Glen Callanan, general manager of CBS2/Fox 28, in the April 14 edition of The Gazette ('Local journalists guide Sinclair stations”).
In it, he attempts to whitewash his commentators' parroting their parent company Sinclair Broadcasting in its mandatory commentary denouncing rival news services for supposed bias in reporting.
Apparently, according to Callanan, winning awards and supporting charities across our community cancels out the cowardice of CBS2/Fox 28 as it carried out its masters' bidding.
I reject that premise and continue to be embarrassed that these local outlets agreed to be so used. A free press? Guess not.
