For those concerned about what happens after January 20, 2025, I'll suggest that what happens on January 6, 2025 may give clues.
President-elect Trump has promised pardons (as far as he is able to give them) to the convicted participants in the riot that occurred at the U.S. Capitol, so it's difficult to believe that he'll let the day pass without notice. For Trump, these are the loyalists who came to "Stop the Steal" and stood up for his rightful second term.
Perhaps he'll call for a reenactment, a massive turnout to vindicate the big lie he's tried to perpetrate of 2020 election fraud. Participation in this performance would be final loyalty test for the Republicans who have not totally surrendered to his MAGA-fied party. It would also be a way to keep his lumpen legions from spoiling the billionaires' balls and soirees on the upcoming Inauguration Day celebrations. Elon Musk could cover the beer and brats for this tailgate.
