Keep up the good work, senators

To the editor:
Contrary to an accusation made in Bev Philpott's Dec. 15 letter ('Enact gun laws for health, safety”), Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst have been voting in the best interests of their constituents by supporting all of our Constitutional rights. Her desire to have the Centers for Disease Control meddle in Constitutional politics is unreasonable. The agency was created to treat biological diseases.
She should realize that without the Second Amendment's right of private citizens to keep and bear arms (which shall not be infringed), our rights to freedom of speech, assembly, press, religion, etc., could soon be taken from us.
Bravo, Grassley and Ernst! Keep up the good work.
