Keep political campaign ads clean

I hope that our U.S. Senate race doesn't get any dirtier. I'm hoping that Democrats don't try to attack Joni Ernst for long settled investigations that she had no part in.
Ernst has more credibility than Bruce Braley does in talking about protecting women serving in our nation's armed forces.
Every election season we hear our fair share of ludicrous accusations and trumped up negative attacks and this year it started early.
I plead with both sides to keep it clean, and to Braley, please choose to join the conversation on this issue rather than accusing a female combat veteran, who happens to also be a lieutenant colonel and a mother, of not protecting women under her command.
