As Board President of Systems Unlimited Inc., I write today to highlight two important issues affecting Iowa’s future: ensuring that Medicaid continues to provide the absolutely essential funding that underpins the vital services we offer to people with disabilities and supporting the transformative potential of the Work Without Worry bill.
Medicaid funding plays a critical role in sustaining the services that Systems Unlimited provides to our community. I respectfully call on our state legislature to maintain its strong support for Medicaid to the extent that it furnishes the essential resources needed by our organization. Such support is not merely a financial matter—it is a commitment to the well-being and stability of those we serve.
Equally important is the Work Without Worry bill, a legislative initiative aimed at creating a more flexible, business-friendly environment in Iowa. By easing unnecessary regulatory burdens, this bill would stimulate business innovation and job creation. A thriving private sector not only generates employment opportunities but also strengthens our local economy, benefiting every Iowan.
I urge our community and state leaders to prioritize these initiatives. By ensuring that Medicaid funding remains at a level that sustains essential services and by embracing reforms that drive economic growth, we can secure a prosperous future for our state.
Thank you for considering this perspective. I welcome further dialogue on these proposals and remain dedicated to fostering a community that values both the support of vital services and the encouragement of business growth.
