Keep Lake Macbride a peaceful destination
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Mar. 15, 2011 11:03 am
In regard to Tom Sorensen (“Ranger could enforce no-wake rule,” March 6 letter), who responded to my husband Steve Callaway's letter in support of not changing the horsepower limit on Lake Macbride.
We do not live on the lake and do not own a fancy pontoon boat. We do rent a dock slip for our sailboat and enjoy sailing, windsurfing and paddling on the lake. Like many other people who live on the lake, near the lake or travel an hour or two to get to the lake, we enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the chance to observe the variety of wildlife in a quiet setting. Lake Macbride is a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Keep it that way!
