Kristi Keast will be an outstanding state representative from House District 95.
I have known Keast and her family for years as they were our next door neighbors. She grew up in an Iowa farming community, attended one of Iowa's fine independent private colleges, and raised her family in Mount Vernon where she has taught at Washington Elementary for 23 years. She has spent her career as a music teacher.
Perhaps her training in music makes her such a good listener. No matter if it is a school issue or a main street issue, she is a thoughtful and responsive listener. I know she is committed to supporting a strong public school system that includes preschool for all children. She knows that college tuition needs to remain affordable.
She is supportive of keeping older Iowans safe and comfortable in their own home with the provision of necessary community based services. And, she is convinced that we need to increase our support of renewable energy which provides job and makes Iowa more energy independent.
I urge your support of Keast to represent us in the Iowa Legislature. She is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all Iowans.
