Join cancer event to help save lives

Just as families in every community feel the effects of a challenging economy, cancer, too, has a far-reaching impact. There are still many people battling cancer and many others who are supporting loved ones daily. These realities make the dollars donated and devoted to the American Cancer Society - a part of Linn County for many years - critically important.
Participants are a huge part of a nationwide effort to save lives from cancer. The money raised from the Society's annual fundraiser, Relay For Life of Linn County on June 4-5, enables the American Cancer Society to deliver on its mission of helping people stay well, helping people get well, finding cures and fighting back against the disease.
Now is the time for individuals, families, groups, and businesses to commit their Relay For Life team participation. Groups walk for many different reasons - a sweet 16th birthday slumber party, in memory of survivors of all ages, and in remembrance to those that have fallen to cancer. The common theme among all participants is hope for a cure.
Join us and our honorary chair, Pat McGrath, at this event.
Please visit RelayForLife.org/linncountyia or call 1-800-227-2345 for more information on participating or donating.
