Johnson right candidate for I.C. school board

I encourage you to vote for Anne M. Johnson of North Liberty for Iowa City school board on Sept. 8. Even though my daughter is a student at Coralville Central, and Anne's daughter attends Penn, I am confident that Anne will have the best interest of all district students in mind when making decisions.
Anne's commitment to our youth extends beyond the classroom. She works with me as an assistant coach for Girls on the Run, a volunteer program to increase the self-esteem and health of girls in grades 3-6. Her sensitivity to important issues, including the budget, redistricting, and differences in academic programming between schools will benefit all district students.
Having also worked with Anne in a business capacity, I am confident her experience will bring a renewed focus on planning to the district as it works through issues and focuses on raising student achievement.
