Johnson believes in involving community

As a teacher beginning my 10th year in the Iowa City Community School District, I believe that this school board election is a pivotal point for our district's success. I have seen our classroom sizes grow as our community has expanded. This and many other factors have raised my concerns as a teacher and also a parent of two young children.
I plan to vote for Anne Johnson because Anne stresses the importance of involving community members, especially teachers and administrators, when making decisions. Asking for help from those who are responsible for the education of our children is critical in developing practical solutions that keep our focus on student learning. Anne also will help provide representation for North Liberty and I welcome her planning capabilities for the implementation of a third high school.
