Jobs are worth more to city than the park

I can't believe the City Council hasn't yet approved selling Riverside Park to Penford.
The price they have offered is far more than what that park is worth. The only thing I recall seeing in that park, and believe me I spent a lot of time there with my grandson while he used the skateboard ramp, was kids dealing and smoking pot and other drugs. I was afraid to leave him there alone because of the creeps that hang out there.
You cannot deny that Cedar Rapids could use more high-paying jobs. Tell those people from Czech Village to come up with that same number of good-paying jobs offered by Penford and they can keep the park. In the meantime, sell the park and provide more jobs.
