Jim White would be a dedicated softball coach

Someone told me it is an unwritten rule that no Big Ten team has ever hired a male softball coach. It is time that rule is broken. I am sure Mr. Gary Barta (University of Iowa athletic director) is aware that he has a softball coaching icon right in his backyard.
I could give dozens of reasons why Jim White would be a great hire, but I will share just one. My great niece was a good player on one of his championship teams at Clear Creek Amana. Her younger sister wanted so badly to play varsity ball for Coach White, but she never quite made it. As a junior, one of her classes required writing a biography and, in it, she stated how much of an influence coach White had on her work ethic. Even though she didn't make varsity, that young lady will be starting her second year of medical school at Iowa.
I assure Mr. Barta he will not find a candidate who will outwork Coach White. He is very dedicated and would be a great hire. Selfishly, I would like to see him retire at Clear Creek Amana but I am a Hawkeye fan also.
