If you want something done, ask Janice Weiner. She will keep looking for new ways to approach issues, and she won't give up until the job is done. I know.
When we were petitioning for our new rabbi's visa, we got stuck in the DHS system. The congregation's president asked Janice to take it on. She worked with our contact in Congressman Dave Loebsack's office; she developed a new contact in Senator Chuck Grassley's office; she got them to coordinate on this constituent issue. Janice consulted with a former State Department colleagues - not to 'game” the system, but to better understand it. She kept us, and our new rabbi, up to date with regular emails.
Thanks to Janice Weiner's persistence and determination, our petition was approved, and our new rabbi has been here for six months now. I've seen Janice at work - she will work just as hard for you at the state level; I urge you to support her for Iowa Senate District 37.
