It’s time to take our country back
The Gazette Opinion Staff

It's time we the people reclaim our country. For too long we have allowed politicians and judges to lead us away from the founding principles of our great nation. They have forgotten the ideas and ideals of limited government, personal responsibility, liberty and freedom. They continue to ignore the Constitution. Their only interest is getting re-elected.
We the people need to stand together and say, no more billions of dollars wasted on endless pork barrel projects. No more voting on bills that are not read. No more ignoring and trashing the Constitution. No more treating us as if they are wise and we are simpletons. No more government spending beyond its means. No more forgetting they work for us. No more lies and excuses.
It's time for term limits and citizen politicians. Career politicians, regardless of their party, have created the mess. It's time to throw them all out and replace them with citizens who will reclaim the great ideas, ideals and principles that created the best nation in the world. Our Founding Fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence, not the declaration of dependence on government.
