It’s time for affordable health insurance for all

House Resolution 3200 will provide quality, affordable health insurance across the board to all Americans. It's time. We've been having this discussion since Teddy Roosevelt was in the White House.
The status quo cannot hold. The richest country in the world should be able to care for all of its citizens. The opponents are using over-the-top fear-mongering to make sure they don't lose a penny of profits. Meanwhile, illness or injury forces an American family to file for bankruptcy every
90 seconds. By 2016, Iowans will pay over $20,000 annually for health insurance.
HR 3200 will give us choices in health insurance, including a public health insurance option. Working class Americans will be able to finally purchase insurance with government assistance.
Our representatives in Congress need to listen to their constituents and not the health care lobby pushing for the status quo.
