‘It’s the economy, stupid.’ But whose?

Yes, it is the economy. But whose economy? The macro or national economy is doing great. The stock market is at an all time high. However, at the micro or personal level, there are some problems. Even though inflation is much lower now, some people have to work two jobs to put food on the table.
Was Trump a great leader when it comes to the economy, or was he lucky just like Eisenhower? Some people think Trump inherited a great economy from Obama.
It is true that Trump has never filed for personal bankruptcy. But a few of his businesses have filed for bankruptcy. His casino employees lost their jobs.
Will Trump restore our economy to greatness? I do not know. However, remember this old slogan “past performance does not guarantee future results.”
