ISU coverage showed Gazette’s bias

One hears a lot about newspapers losing subscribers to Internet sources of media. I can't help but wonder: Is it really other sources of news or just poor and biased reporting?
On the night of Nov. 18, in the only game played in NCAA college football, Iowa State University beat No. 2-ranked Oklahoma State. Guess what? The University of Iowa had a minor appearance on the front page of the Saturday Gazette, in addition to a large article on the front of the sports page. Apparently that was more relevant to sports than the largest sports upset of the weekend!
Iowa State always has received less than favorable coverage in this area, and as an Iowa State fan I have to say that we even get a lot more of our fair share of coverage when compared to the University of Northern Iowa, which for many years has had the strongest football program in the state. How many other schools have a Super Bowl MVP and NFL Hall of Famer as one of its alumni?
Poor news coverage is why people are canceling subscriptions, including me. Given the poor and biased reporting in sports, I have trouble believing the rest of the newspaper does not suffer from the same issue.
