Is cruelty what we accept now?

The Gazette offers audio versions of articles using Instaread. Some words may be mispronounced.
How have we come to this? Your choice — you must be cruel and take away people's health care.
And if you refuse to commit this cruelty, I will be even more cruel and fire people. Is this what we accept? Is this who we have become? This is terrifying.
