Is another farm crisis looming?

I lived through the farm crisis of the 1980s and I don't care to live through another one. My fear is our state will see this scenario play out again.
Current administrations, nationally and in Iowa, have caused trade wars to break at-risk farmers, turned a blind eye to rural health care issues, denied climate change, allowed polluters to foul our water and air, which causes property values to decrease, thereby creating a people desert where confined animal feeding operations are proliferating. This leads to a decline in our schools, churches and a continued withering of our small towns.
If you don't want this to continue, I would urge you to support Tim Gannon of Mingo for Iowa Secretary of Agriculture. Tim is a fifth-generation farmer and a former USDA official working for Tom Vilsack. He knows agriculture policy, he knows how to run a farm and he knows what our state needs to move forward. He is knowledgeable, honest and hard working.
We can be assured Gannon will have the best interest of all of us in mind as the new secretary of agriculture.
