Irony in effort to make Bible more conservative

Have you heard that a group of conservatives are rewriting the Holy Bible to eliminate the “liberal” influences? The Conservative Bible Project is going to identify liberal passages and rewrite them. (tinyurl.com/yatcu68)
For example, in Luke 23:34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing.” The revisionists say this is a liberal passage and should not appear in a conservative edition!
It's true that conservatives who quote the Bible have a problem, because Jesus was the ultimate liberal. He tended to the poor and outcast of society, threw the money changers out of the temple and said that a rich man has less of a chance to enter the Kingdom of Heaven than a camel has going through the eye of a needle.
So, much like Fox News Channel rewrites today's reality in order to support conservative ideology, this gang is now going to rewrite the Holy Bible to better ratify their own political positions. It's funny seeing these conservatives realize that the religion they use to justify their politics doesn't really support them at all.
