Iowans should still have right to vote on issues

We have a state Constitution in Iowa, and we have been given the tools to amend that Constitution when we the people deem necessary.
We have been denied that right, from former Gov. Vilsack to Gov. Culver's reign. It is time the Democrats and Republicans stop blocking our rights as Iowans, to have a constitutional amendment on marriage placed on the ballot for the people to vote on.
Those who think same-sex marriage is healthy for Iowa can have their opinion. However, that does not give them the right to deny Iowans the opportunity, given to us by the state Constitution, to vote on a marriage amendment.
We have a form of government that is supposed to be representing the majority of Iowans, not the minority.
We do not want to have kings rule over us - King Chet Culver, King Mike Gronstal and King Supreme Court. It is time the self-appointed kings give us our due right.
