Iowans hold a lot of political power

To the editor:
Regarding the Dec. 29 article 'Iowa voters giving up on ethanol”:
Did I miss something? I'm not giving up on ethanol, but I am giving up on Ted Cruz.
I agree with Gov. Terry Branstad: 'Candidates who tangle with ethanol could find their presidential aspirations buried by Iowans.”
The GOP candidates should not draw conclusions when trying to outthink Iowans. There is a reason we are the first state in the presidential nomination process, and we are not people without political power.
