Iowans can be proud of Chuck Grassley

I wish to congratulate U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley for his meritorious leadership of the Judiciary Committee.
The senator uses his 'Iowa Nice” background to navigate through a minefield of crude behavior. Our senator sets a high standard of decorum and civility. Several others exhibit behavior last seen leading up to the Civil War.
I ask you to consider why both Eastern and Western states send senators so far out of the mainstream of American standards of civil behavior. It was embarrassing to witness their childish shenanigans as they endeavor to make their names become well known. Kindergartners are taught higher standards.
Iowans can be proud of our U.S. senators. Citizens of several other states must cringe when they watch their officials rant and rave.
