Iowa should decline Insight Bowl opportunity

The news keeps getting worse and worse about the Iowa Hawkeye football team. Most fans could sense something was amiss with the football team this year but who could have suspected drugs could be involved.
I, for one, thought it was time to make some coaching changes - not necessarily head coach Kirk Ferentz at this time - but change some assistants, i.e., offense coach, special teams coach and maybe the defense coach.
But as it is playing out, there is something much more serious going on. I feel that when the players lose respect for themselves and start using drugs, it reflects on the university, the coaches and all Hawkeye fans.
Rather than suffer further embarrassment, the university should either back out of the Insight Bowl or forfeit.
This will get all current and future Hawkeyes to realize the UI intends to run a respectable and drug-free program. It also will serve to get respect back for the university, state and all fans.
