Iowa Republicans aren’t listening to Iowans

Who are the Iowa Republicans listening to? Based on the lack of response I receive when I write to Republican leaders in the Iowa House and Senate, they aren't listening to Iowans they don't consider their constituents.
In listening to a discussion over proposed changes to utility regulations on Iowa Public Radio's River to River program, Republican legislators declined to participate. They appear to have a strategy of avoiding public discussions, whether it's on deregulation of utilities, cutting corporate taxes in a time of restricted state income, collective bargaining, limiting women's access to health care, children's mental health care, or proposed legislation that declares a heartbeat the equivalent of a human being with a brain that supports life outside of the womb.
Who are they listening to? National campaign funding sources?
