A common misconception people have about Iowa is there is nothing to do. While this may be the case, it doesn’t have to be this way.
As a high schooler myself, I am most interested in community events for youth. There are few public events or activities one can participate in. The library could be a place for social interactions for younger children and teens; however, there is a lack of younger people in these places.
For people who are interested in organized sports but don’t want to play through their schools, leagues could be set up for friends to play together. Tennis, softball, pickleball, and basketball could all be introduced and played by younger people. City or state-organized activities like these would help young people stay active, be more social, and stay out of trouble.
