The Iowa GOP wants to lower the age a person can purchase a handgun from 21 to 18 with House File 924. This move is yet another favor to the NRA, gun manufacturers and gun groups. In return for the many thousands of dollars they donate to Republicans, the Republicans will help get handguns into the hands of young people!
If you’ve ever had to purchase car insurance for an 18-25 year old, especially a male, you know how expensive that is. It’s expensive because insurance companies have done endless research on how reckless and impulsive young men of this age can be. So knowing this information our “leaders” in Des Moines think it’s a great idea to put a concealable handgun in their hands. What could possibly go wrong with this hair-brained idea?
