Iowa DOT needs a larger area presence

To the editor:
If you are looking for an easier place to renew your driver's license, why not drive to Anamosa?
It is a 20 or 30 minute drive from Marion or Cedar Rapids. The driver's license office is in the Jones County Courthouse, a block off West Main Street, just south of the prison.
At one time there were three driver's license stations - one in Marion and two in Cedar Rapids. Since then the population has grown in Marion and Cedar Rapids.
So, now what do we have? One station for all services. Don't you think Linn County deserves better?
