Iowa DOGE recommendations are stupid

You cant fix stupid, i.e. the Iowa GOP. Iowa Public Radio on Aug. 6:
"Gov. Reynolds’ DOGE task force is considering a plan that would reduce state employee benefits and pay teachers based on student performance. Task force member Terry Lutz says Iowa pays teachers and administrators based on length of service, but their compensation should be tied to student outcomes. Lutz says the state should also consider eliminating pension plans for new hires.”
