Incident shows need for proper guidance

While attending a Little League Baseball game in Alburnett, a number of us observed a disturbing event.
At the end of the 5th- and 6th-grade game we saw a young player from the 3rd- and 4th-grade team come up and strike a much smaller girl in the face.
When approached by the father, the boy stated, “She was taking our sticks.”
We, as parents, grandparents, coaches and friends, need to ensure boys do not hit girls or anyone. If we don't impress this now, we are just asking for much bigger problems later.
