I’ll take my Surburban to shows in Chicago

Prime parking for efficient cars, really?
Well I guess if the Paramount Theatre ever gets fixed, my wife and five children will pack up into our gas-sucking, harmful-emission-spewing Suburban, and drive around with it a little longer to find a spot to park.
Or maybe we will just forget the whole thing, and instead of driving to downtown Cedar Rapids for a show and dinner, we will just drive our vehicle to Chicago for the weekend. I'm pretty sure, considering the discrimination that Tom Podzimek and his buddies on the city council, and Public Works Department are talking about (note discrimination, not preferential treatment) that they don't want my business downtown anyway.
And I can't wait for that guy in the Prius or whatever to give me that “social pressure look” if I even notice him over my Dodge Ram 2500 pickup, I'm sure I'll have an appropriate response for him.
Also, what's with offering outlets for people with electric cars to plug them in and charge them? I guess we all know who's paying for that. I wonder if those people down on their luck from the floods of 2008 could use a little “free” power?
Podzimek says it all with six specific words: “Government is just trying to provide” - great, that's all we need. Ronald Reagan said it best: “The 10 scariest words you will ever hear, ‘We are from the government, and we're here to help.'?”
