IDOT should take better care of roadways

My wife and I returned from a two-week trip to the Carolina's earlier this week. As we entered Iowa on Interstate 80 by the Quad cities, we could not help but notice how the median and ditches had not been mowed for weeks. The weeds and grass were so long it appeared they had not been attended to for a long time.
The Carolina's are beautiful states as far as road appearances are concerned. Come on, IDOT!
